THE CORAL GARDENERS OF RAJA AMPAT

Considered one of the most beautiful places on earth, the Raja Ampat archipelago in West Papua is well known for its rich underwater biodiversity. Known as "the last paradise", this last coral reef stronghold is under threat from human activity. Fauna and flora are being degraded at an alarming rate, and the pyramid of biodiversity is collapsing.

A young marine ecologist has decided to take action to preserve the natural resources of this area, on which the survival of numerous marine species depends, as well as the balance of an entire ecosystem. With the help of the Papuan community, he launches an operation to save the coral.

Discover this archipelago's rich natural heritage and meet the people who are reconnecting with nature to preserve it.
