Fascinating, graceful, and the fastest of all predators, the cheetah is also one of the most vulnerable big cats on the savannah. Today, the species stands on the brink of extinction, with only around 7,000 individuals remaining in the wild.
This documentary tells the story of Mara, a female cheetah raising her cubs on her own. Over the course of a year, we follow her daily life – a rhythm of high-speed chases, dangerous encounters with rival predators, and tender moments with her babies, whom she will protect at all costs.
Brought to life through breathtaking footage – including stunning slow-motion sequences –, The Breath of the Cheetah propels us closer than ever to this incredible animal, allowing us to take in every subtle nuance of its behavior.
