JACQUES VILLERET, THE ANXIOUS MAN WHO WANTED TO MAKE US LAUGH

Jacques Villeret is considered one of the greatest actors of French cinema. His acting, his expressions and his passion for his craft have left a lasting impression. Renowned for his interpretations of characters that are generally funny and endearing, he made a name for himself with French audiences with his roles in The Cabbage Soup, Gramps Is in the Resistance, and The Dinner Game.

He grew up in Loches, a small town in Indre et Loire, above his mother's hairdressing salon. The town is full of murals and statues dedicated to him. His former classmates and the town's shopkeepers recall his youth, when he was already making the other children laugh in the schoolyard. Through their stories and a tour of the town, we return to the places where this great actor grew up.
