CHAMBORD: THE LAST TREASURES OF A STONE GIANT

The Château de Chambord is a Renaissance masterpiece whose apparent perfection conceals countless enigmas. Today, the feats accomplished 500 years ago on the order of king Francis I continue to puzzle scientists and historians as they attempt to uncover the final secrets of its construction.

How did the builders design and construct a monument that appears so perfect? What do the anomalies, alterations, and experiments at the heart of the Château reveal? The investigation is all the more complex that the original plans for Chambord have disappeared, and the identity of its architect remains unknown… Could Leonardo da Vinci have been its designer? Experts are putting forward various hypotheses and attempting to find the answer within the heart of Chambord itself.

Thanks to exceptional access to little-known areas closed to the public, and with the help of 3D reconstructions of the building, the documentary takes us deep into the heart of this royal palace to uncover its final mysteries.
