APES AND MONKEYS: OUR FOUR-HANDED COUSINS

The variety of monkeys’ diets and lifestyles is proof of their incredible ability to adapt. Agile and extremely curious, they inhabit a wide variety of environments across the globe – from South America to the far reaches of Asia, through the African continent.

Monkeys generally live in groups, as they are highly social animals. Each clan is governed by complex relationships in which diplomacy plays a vital role. Their expressive faces and cognitive abilities never cease to impress us.

From the tiny squirrel monkey to the imposing mountain gorilla, there is a wide range of monkey species around the world – but all share one fascinating trait: their resemblance to humans.
