At the handlebars of his trusty orange moped and wearing his old yellow helmet, François Skyvington hits the road. His journeys are always guided by the same desire: to help us discover France and Germany off the beaten track. Each film in the collection follows a unique logic: an itinerary punctuated by delightful, generous encounters, made up of new acquaintances and close connections, crossing magnificent landscapes and a themed approach to each trip.
To find exoticism, François Skyvington does not travel to the other side of the world. A change of scenery and the unusual can be found in France and Germany. François's approach is resolutely original and natural. He gets as close as possible to the people he meets. His moped remains his “starter” for friendliness, his identity card and his ticket to popularity. The priority is definitely given to human encounters, without pretense or filters...
The films are carried by a narrative told in the first person by François. Each documentary begins with the most memorable moments of his journey, a kind of appetizer that gives a glimpse of some of the key moments of each episode. Each film is structured around five or six sequences, each of which gives substance to the theme of each episode and the progression in the discovery of the places visited by François Skyvington.
