Gold Commandos

For the past fifteen years, a new gold rush has drawn thousands of illegal immigrants to French Guiana. Gold panning is carried out on the Maroni River, the 350-mile long liquid border between French Guiana and Suriname.

Thanks to joint missions carried out by French and Surinamese forces, the authorities managed to identify areas of gold panning and goods traffic in this vast territory covered by equatorial forest. Among these key areas is a village along the river: the village of Élysée.

Over the course of a week, you will follow the intervention of a commando of more than a hundred men in this village. Even if they manage to identify the culprits, what will become of the devastated forest?
