They are ten, do not know each other and embark on an exceptional adventure, The Great Crossing of the Alps in four weeks of walking. Departure at the edge of Lake Geneva and arrival on the beaches of the Mediterranean Sea. With a bonus, 30,000 meters of elevation gain, more than three times the height of Everest! Mythical landscapes, joys, tears, sweat and lots of emotions!
The heroes of this new adventure are five women and five men: four Swiss, four French, one Belgian and one Slovenian. These "Sunday hikers" have always dreamed of taking up such a challenge without daring to do it. Their dream came true by living an out-of-the-ordinary experience through a 620-kilometer long hike for a month. On the menu: between 8 and 12 hours of walking a day.
Throughout the stages, the public discovers the incredible biodiversity of the Alps and the variety of landscapes: from the green shores of Lake Geneva to the snow-capped peaks of the Alps, from the Savoy Alps to the villages of the Alpes-Maritimes, from the deserts of altitude to the Mediterranean coast. This exceptional itinerary crosses three natural parks: Vanoise, Queyras and Mercantour, rich in biodiversity and identity.
An unprecedented human adventure to discover exceptional alpine landscapes.
