Hitler Youth

Berlin, 1945. The Third Reich is in its final days.

Among its last combatants are teens not yet 15 years old. Given their young age, their inexperience and the overwhelming Soviet numbers, they have no hope of winning. But just a few years earlier, they had pledged their life to Hitler. They are going to stick to their promise and fight to the end...

How did Hitler, between 1933 and 1945, manage to build an exclusive relationship with this generation, supplanting parents, family, school and church with the Nazi Party?

Through colour archives and eyewitness accounts by former Hitler Youth, we look at how a totalitarian regime managed to turn children into soldiers.
