In nearly every country, fertility has been taken over by the private sector. In Spain, private clinics are making a fortune on reproductive tourism; in Denmark, sperm and egg banks are marketing gametes worldwide; in the U.S., private equity funds are investing the industry, and start-ups – like the one backed by Sam Altman – keep pushing the boundaries of ethics and life itself.

This film investigates across Europe and the U.S. to shed light on a bewilderingly complex system known as reproductive extractivism: when capitalism exploits the ultimate resource – life itself.
