Göran Ehlmé, a naturalist and specialist in cold water diving, is haunted by the memory of a terrible encounter with a still unknown predator, a seal that looks like an ogre: the sea leopard. A giant seal that lives on the edge of the planet in the most inhospitable place there is: Antarctica, a world of ice and rock.

Göran sets out to meet this super predator to unlock some of its secrets. He witnesses a dramatic face-to-face encounter between several leopard seals and a colony of penguins, a unique opportunity to see and film unprecedented hunting behaviour.
